We are happy to greet you! Our philosophy is to encourage your joy in quilting. We love to help you with your selection of fabrics. Our selection is eclectic, we purchase what we like. We carry a large selection of patterns – some are our own. We encourage our customers to come in with any questions; no question is irrelevant! We are here to help you -- encouraging you to create your own ideas.
Creativity & Community
We believe that women need a community of friends to share their creativity with. There is nothing more stress-reducing than to sit down to sew a few pieces together. Watching the pieces go together to a piece of beauty restores the soul! We endeavor to provide fabrics of many different themes to encourage your own creativity. And most of all that you have fun creating your projects!
Safe Place to Unwind
Along with the fabrics, we offer “Open Sew” 4 days a week in our large class room. Quilting is a solitary task, and too often is hampered by the “shoulds” at home. (I should empty the dishwasher, vacuum, do the wash, etc) Come and spend time with us , where laughter and a space to work create a time of great accomplishment. And we are here to offer help if you need it. There is no charge for coming and sewing!
Giving Hearts
Our customers have a great sense of caring for our community. They have donated fabric, created over 31,000 pillowcases for Mott Children’s Hospital and helped with many other needs in the community. Quilters have the most giving hearts! We are looking forward to many other projects to help our community.
We believe that having fun, doing what you like, learning new things, having a “community” does a happier person make!
